    1. Dates of competitions: 10/10/12, 11/15/12, 12/13/12, 2/7/13 and 3/13/13.
    2. Coaches should fill out the online form for hosting and judging conflicts.
  3. Treasurer’s Report
    1. Kevin Wiland is leaving the board because of other responsibilities. Liz Moore from Naperville North is now the treasurer.
    2. We have close to one year’s budget in reserve.
    3. Starting in 2012-2013, schools will be given first and second place ribbons for alternates. This is an additional expense, but not prohibitive.
    4. Dues will remain the same for 2012-13. Please be sure to mail next year’s dues to Liz Moore at Naperville North.
  4. Topics
    1. The meeting for written topics needs more people to participate. Liam Keigher is hoping to run next year’s meeting via Skype so people do not need to travel to Larkin High School for the meeting.
    2. The orals topic for meet 3 is a new topic. The topic for meet 4 will be determined when the ICTM announces their topic.
  5. Old business
    1. Typesetting of all contests will continue next year.
    2. This year had one of the lowest number of appeals the league has ever experienced.
    3. The league is in need of a vice-president in the event that Steve is unable to perform his duties. People interested should contact Steve Goodman.
  6. New business
    1. Coaches are asked to remind their orals judges to give plenty of feedback to students on how to improve their presentations.
    2. The league is in need of an assistant webmaster. People interested should contact Steve Goodman.
    3. Extra time will not be given for students with IEPs or 504 plans. Coaches and students need to remember this is a competition, not a test.
    4. The board will address the issue of the starting time for each competition.
